$10,000 Midwest Masters Championship Results and Decklists!!!!It all built up to this! 80 players qualified for the $10,000 Midwest Masters Series Championship, but only 8 could share in the $10,000 prize pool. After six rounds of swiss, we had our final eight:
In the end, Sam Black's Mythic Conscription overcame Owen Turtenwald's Jund in three games to take the top spot. Congratulations to Sam Black, the 2010 Midwest Masters Series Champion! And congratulations to all of our top 8 competitors!
Pittsburgh Top 8! Decklists and congrats!!!This past weekend was the final Midwest Masters Series Open in Pittsburgh. 8 more players fought their way through 7 rounds of swiss to claim an invite to the $10,000 Championship! For those hoping to make the big event, you still have one last chance! There are two Last Chance Qualifiers scheduled for GenCon on August 5th and 6th. The top 4 players at each event will get the last few invites to the big event. Congratulations to those who qualified this past weekend! Championship competitors GenCon badge registration now available!GenCon badge information has gone out to all who have qualified for the Masters Series Championship, so if you have not received your email with your info - please email info@pastimes.net so we can help you get what's coming to you!! Also - as a reminder - if you weren't able to qualify at one of the Midwest Masters Series Open, don't despair! There is still a chance to qualify! We will be holding two Last Chance Qualifier tournaments at GenCon. Each event will award four invites to the Midwest Masters Series Championship. This is your last chance to make it to the big event! The following players have already qualified, you can too!

Midwest Masters Series Last Chance Qualifiers Announced!Having trouble making it to the Masters Series Open Events, but still want a chance to play in the Championship? There's good news! We will be holding a pair of Last Chance Qualifier tournaments at GenCon on the days leading up to the Championship. Scheduling information is below. Each Qualifier tournament will be Standard format, like all Masters Series events. After swiss rounds, the Top 8 will play one final elimination round, after which the remaining four competitors will qualify for the Championship Event! Unlike the Midwest Masters Series Open Events, the Last Chance Qualifiers will not award cash prizes, and only four Championship entries will be up for grabs at each event. However they are your last chance to qualify, and will provide everyone that can make it to GenCon with the opportunity to participate in the $10,000 Midwest Masters Series Championship! Qualifier Information Location: GenCon - Indianapolis Convention Center Entry Fee: $20
