It all built up to this! 80 players qualified for the $10,000 Midwest Masters Series Championship, but only 8 could share in the $10,000 prize pool. After six rounds of swiss, we had our final eight:

This past weekend was the final Midwest Masters Series Open in Pittsburgh. 8 more players fought their way through 7 rounds of swiss to claim an invite to the $10,000 Championship! For those hoping to make the big event, you still have one last chance! There are two Last Chance Qualifiers scheduled for GenCon on August 5th and 6th. The top 4 players at each event will get the last few invites to the big event.

Midwest Masters Series Last Chance Qualifiers Announced!

Having trouble making it to the Masters Series Open Events, but still want a chance to play in the Championship? There's good news! We will be holding a pair of Last Chance Qualifier tournaments at GenCon on the days leading up to the Championship. Scheduling information is below. Each Qualifier tournament will be Standard format, like all Masters Series events. After swiss rounds, the Top 8 will play one final elimination round, after which the remaining four competitors will qualify for the Championship Event!

Unlike the Midwest Masters Series Open Events, the Last Chance Qualifiers will not award cash prizes, and only four Championship entries will be up for grabs at each event. However they are your last chance to qualify, and will provide everyone that can make it to GenCon with the opportunity to participate in the $10,000 Midwest Masters Series Championship!
